About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a range of spa treatments to a high standard, including (where qualified):
Massage therapies
Facials and skincare treatments
Body treatments (scrubs, wraps)
Manicure/pedicure and beauty treatments (if applicable)
Provide warm, professional guest consultations and recommend suitable treatments and products.
Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and all spa areas to exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety policies (including product handling and infection control).
Support daily spa operations: appointment readiness, room turnover, stock checks, laundry coordination, and closing routines.
Manage bookings and guest flow in coordination with reception (where applicable).
Handle guest feedback with professionalism and escalate concerns appropriately.
Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture and uphold the brand standards of Kilronan Castle.
Requirements
Qualified Spa/Beauty Therapist (recognized certification/diploma in Beauty Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Spa Therapy, ITEC/CIDESCO/CIBTAC or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year experience in a spa, hotel spa, clinic, or wellness environment (strong juniors considered if training is solid).
Competent in core treatments: massage, facials, body treatments (and manicure/pedicure/waxing if the spa offers these).
Strong knowledge of client consultation, contraindications, aftercare, and treatment tailoring.
High standards of hygiene/sanitation and compliance with health & safety procedures.
Excellent English and professional guest communication; additional languages are a plus.
Comfortable with retail/product recommendations and upselling in a guest-friendly way.
Reliable availability for weekends/evenings/peak periods (rota-based).
Right to work in Ireland (or ability to obtain it).
